I hate to sit here and tell you I told you so. So I won't do it. On two occasions I feel I have the right too. One being Jim Tressel and two being Dwight Howard. Right now I'll just focus on D12 because I'm sure I can go on and on about Ohio State.
I am just so happy that Dwight finally came out and said he doesn't want to leave Orlando. The man made no indication that he wanted to, he never said he wanted too, and the media was just acting like a bunch of hungry lions making up stories. Now the media gods are going to flip turn all his words around. I'm sure the next Sentinel article will read "Dwight only staying until he closes on house in LA, that's what he meant."
A man does not throw an impromptu Memorial Day picnic
for anyone in Orlando to attend and not love the city. I have been on my soapbox all year long telling everyone just to let the subject die. I just hope that Dwight will now enjoy his summer and all of the hounds will back down. I'm sure the next few months will be full of what kind of "help" Dwight would like.
Let's face it, Dwight wants to make his own legacy. He doesn't want to follow in that big oaf, Shaq's, footsteps. He wants to do something no one else was able to do. He wants to "turn this small market into a big market" and bring home a championship to Orlando.
To all the powers that be, go find some sort of help for this man (start at the PG slot
) and leave the poor guy alone for the next few months. Let him enjoy this City Beautiful that we all know and love.
