Usually my posts are filled with facts and numbers. This one is nowhere near as factual or educational as one may expect from me. This post is all about how the Baltimore Ravens make me sick to my stomach. I hate them. I hate everything about them. Have I mentioned I am a Steelers fan?
Ok, maybe this post isn't about how much I hate the Ravens, but I do love the rivalry. In one of my previous writings I discussed how I wish the Magic had a true rivalry. If you want a true rivalry look no further than Pittsburgh versus Baltimore. This hatred goes back years and years, in case you didn't know Baltimore used to be Cleveland. The city of Cleveland thinks Pittsburgh is a hole, while the city of Pittsburgh knows that Cleveland is a hole. I'm digressing. I sat down with the purpose of writing about the NFL playoffs. Have I mentioned the Steelers are playing the Ravens on Saturday?
Seriously though, let's focus on the AFC playoffs for a second. Are you kidding me? New York Jets versus New England Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens versus the Pittsburgh Steelers, it's as if the NFL planned this to happen. These AFC match-ups are what TV rating dreams are made of. The NFC games just seem so elementary, Seattle Seahawks versus the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers versus the Atlanta Falcons. I actually forgot Atlanta still had a team, I just assumed once Vick got shipped off the Falcons flew the coup but I guess I was wrong.
Alright my predictions, well I'm going to stick with what I said in the beginning of the year. You may have missed my predictions but I promise you it's true. I originally said I believed it was going to be Green Bay versus the Stillerz (insert 'Burgh accent), with Pittsburgh coming out victorious. Breaking it down a bit, the Jets are going to get whomped on Sunday, it's going to come back down to Green Bay versus Chicago (rivalry, yay!) and Green Bay is going to win. Aaron Rodgers deserves the respect, deserves the spotlight, and deserves to be intercepted by Troy Polamalu in the Superbowl a few times.
In the real world, they always say defense wins championships, in that respect then we could say
the Superbowl could be Chicago against Pittsburgh. Either way, Pittsburgh wins. I would say we could all watch the games together, but I bet none of you have ever been privy to watching a Steelers game with me. I know you haven't because I can only be with Pittsburgh fans, when someone is rooting for the other team it honestly makes me sick to my stomach. I'm that hardcore. I love my friends, but I don't want to lose any of them over something that is just supposed to be a game. Sometimes I beg to differ with that statement.
Anyways, that's my words of wisdom for the NFL playoffs, mark them, trust them, and most of all AGREE with them. I guess this is where I close this completely unbiased post.
Here We Go, Steelers, Here We Go.
ps. I hate the Ravens
